Last night I held my first Build Your Own Bouquet event! 💐 If you didn’t see, I put together a Valentine’s event marrying mindfulness with floral arrangement. ⁉️ I know. “Jodi, wtf?” But here me out. 👂 EV ER Y ONE benefits from practicing mindfulness, but sitting cross cross applesauce traditional meditations style might not be your thing. 🧘🏻‍♀️ So BYOB is about keeping both your hands busy (no phones), breathing, enjoying the colors and textures of the flowers while you create something beautiful and unique. 🌷 Full disclosure, last night’s event was a bit of a test run. I wanted to see if people really would respond positively to the combination of mindfulness and floral arrangement. 🧠And let me tell you, and I think anyone who was there will tell you, that magic happened. 🌟 I’m thrilled to say that last night will most definitely not be the last time I host such an event. It was SO MUCH FUN. 🌃Even our friends who don’t consider themselves karaoke people grabbed that microphone for a few songs in the spotlight. 🌠We took turns, we chose songs for each other, we sang songs all together. It was such a great time. Way better than the karaoke we’re used to here in the states. 🇺🇸There was something about being in a private room, just the six of us, that created a uniquely lovely, fun, judgement-free environment. 💫It was fun to sing, yeah, but it was just as much fun to hoot and holler in support of our friends. Watching them get down with their bad selves, uninhibited, free, was such an unexpected gift. 🎁 When you give people the chance to let loose, amazing things happen. Magical things, even. 🔮The vibe we were all feeling in that karaoke room is the vibe I hope to provide to my clients. A safe place where you can be the truest version of yourself. A place to feel welcomed and encouraged to be you. (New to the lineup) The Ordinary Glucoside (basically concentrated vitamin C for brightening) — AM PM 5. (Also New)The Ordinary Retinoid treatment for anti aging—PM only 6. @muradskincare hydrating gel — as needed, it’s thick but feels light. I only use this when I’m REAL dry 7.
